Holistic Counseling and Therapy
I work with a variety of life and health issues with a holistic, integrated menu of modalities (see other links for specific modalities). My specialties are depression and anxiety, eliminating self-sabotage and building self-esteem, recovery from dysfunctional childhood and incest/abuse, relationship issues, forgiveness work, health challenges, life purpose and career, prosperity, spiritual development and mentoring young people into adulthood. Although I don't choose to work with alcohol or drug addiction that often, my methods of addressing the whole person and enlisting the powers of the very habitual subconscious mind are uniquely effective for phobias, compulsive behaviors and habit changes such as nail biting, overeating, chronic procrastination, etc.
Providing a safe and nurturing atmosphere, free of judgement or preaching, respectful of your truths and wisdom- my style is client-centered, meaning I follow the verbal and non-verbal cues of my client rather than my pre-conceived agendas for a session. This, combined with intuitive guidance and the diagnostic tool of Applied Kinesiology (muscle testing), allows your time to be more targeted to the most relevant and productive content. The essence of a holistic orientation is to incorporate the body, subconscious mind and spirit with emotional content, in diagnosis and in treatment.
